Old Edwards Inn Wedding at The Piermont Cottage

Here is a “pre-game” photo taken just before an Old Edwards Inn wedding at The Piermont Cottage in Highlands, North Carolina.  It was a rainy Saturday morning when we arrived at 8:45am to setup the entertainment for a 10:30am wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.  The Old Edwards Inn staff were working together like a well-oiled machine setting tables, folding linen napkins, placing silverware.  The North Carolina mountains were earning their nickname “The Smoky Mountains” this morning.  You could see the low clouds hanging like smoke across the trees.  It felt fresh and good and the trees and bushes were a deep, lush green.  The flowers were exploding with vivid color.  As you can tell from the photo, the back patio of The Piermont Cottage at Old Edwards Inn is an elegant outdoor space.  If you look to the upper right of the photo, you can see a small landing where we have our mics set.  We bring a small speaker system to amplify the sound of our guitars and voices without being too conspicuous.  There are also two very well cared for lawns behind and beside The Piermont Cottage where a ceremony or larger reception can take place.  For links to photos of other weddings at The Old Edwards Inn, please visit our BAND BLOG.
